PATTERNS
There are two methods for judging (Tournament director decides):
Criteria: Patterns are judged on the criteria of neatness, power, speed, timing, balance, rhythm, concentration and attitude. |

In the case of an elimination system and both competitors stop while doing their pattern, they will be allowed to re-start. If only one competitor stops (i.e. forgets) then the other automatically wins regardless of his or her performance. |

SPARRING
Matches are continuous sparring for 1 ½ minutes (non-stop time). The corner judges award points while the center referee controls the match and gives warnings and demerit points. After the match, the points are tallied up and one competitor wins and moves to next level and the other is eliminated. In the case of a tie, the center referee may decide who is the winner or proceed with an additional 30 second round. |

In the event that blood is drawn, the center referee must discuss the matter with his corner judges to determine who is at fault. If the attacker is at fault then he/she is disqualified.
If the receiver is at fault then a warning is given
to the attacker. If the receiver cannot continue the match, the
attacker is allowed to continue in the division. |
